STATUS: Regular, full-time
LOCATION: Newkirk, OK
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience in an outpatient primary care clinic preferred. Computer proficiency required. Must have a valid LPN license in the state of Oklahoma. Candidate must also possess professional and personal integrity, have respect and sensitivity for a culturally diverse population, and have excellent communication and people skills. Must have a valid Oklahoma Driver License. Must be able to pass a drug test upon employment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide nursing services to patients under Provider direction and orders.
- Assist in patient flow (i.e. Lab draw, EKG, Assist with minor surgical procedures).
- Perform other medical procedures in accordance with licensure and as per Provider’s orders.
- Travel to various clinic sites with Provider to assist as needed to facilitate patient flow to increase quality patient care.
- Work with participating clinics to reach women eligible for the program.
- Work within the community to reach women eligible for the program.
- Maintain a mammogram schedule for Kanza Clinic. Secure a list of program eligible women from the mobile mammography day at each site for the Program Director.
- Remind women of their appointments, initial, follow-up, and re-screening with phone calls and mailings.
- Maintain a database for tracking and follow-up of appointments to ensure women follow through with appointments and help identify barriers for women.
- Attend health fairs and other community events to promote the program and assist with health promotion and disease awareness/prevention.
- Assist patients with referrals, appointments and follow-up procedures.
- Assist patients in advising of benefits and resources available.
- Order lab/medical supplies when needed.
- Ensure transportation is available for participants needing assistance.
- Assume any additional responsibilities when assigned by supervisor to help facilitate patient flow and increase quality patient care.
All new hires will be required by the Kaw Nation to submit to a pre employment drug screen and background check. Failure to pass the drug screen or the background check will lead to withdrawal of the job offer or termination of employment

- Four (4) hours of Annual Leave begins accruing with the first paycheck and each full check during employment. As the employee’s length of service increases the 4 hours accrued increases to 6 (after 3 years), 8 (after 10 years), and 10 (after 15 years) hours per paycheck.
- Four (4) hours of Sick Leave begins accruing with the first paycheck and each full check during employment. This amount remains the same throughout employment.
