Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this role, you will assess, plan, and implement personalized therapy programs to enhance patients' functional independence in the school system. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive care plans, assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), and facilitate smooth discharge planning. Duties
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ physical, cognitive, and sensory abilities to identify therapy needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans targeting functional improvements in areas such as motor skills, coordination, and sensory processing.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility techniques.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure seamless discharge planning for optimal recovery outcomes.
- Work with individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and other disabilities to promote independence and skill development.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and progress notes using electronic health records (EHR) systems in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Provide education and support to patients’ families and caregivers on therapy techniques and home exercises.
- Engage in case management activities to monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and ensure quality care delivery across inpatient, outpatient, school, or home health environments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program; licensure or certification required by state or country regulations.
- Proven experience working in acute care settings such as hospitals or intensive care units (ICU), skilled nursing facilities, or post-acute care environments.
- Strong knowledge of physiology and anatomy relevant to occupational therapy interventions.
- Experience working with children in early intervention programs or school-based settings supporting students with disabilities or special education needs.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and clinical documentation standards for accurate record keeping.
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) management systems for efficient patient data tracking.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders including autism spectrum disorders (ASD).
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and educating patients’ families.
- Commitment to evidence-based practice principles ensuring the highest quality of patient care across diverse populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, and occupational health cases.

Pay: $50.15 - $54.20 per hour
