Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys with case preparation across various legal areas such as estate planning, small business matters and litigation.
- Manage legal case files using document management systems like Leap and WealthCounsel, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Conduct comprehensive legal research utilizing LexisNexis to support case strategies and drafting processes.
- Draft, proofread, and review legal documents including contracts, pleadings, memos, and correspondence with precision and clarity.
- Organize and maintain case documentation through meticulous data entry, filing, and document review procedures.
- Support project management efforts by coordinating deadlines, tracking case progress, and facilitating communication among team members.
- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling interviews, managing phone etiquette, and providing executive administrative support as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven paralegal experience with familiarity in multiple practice areas including estate planning, family law, and litigation.
- Strong research skills utilizing LexisNexis, and other legal research tools.
- Proficiency in legal case management software such as Leap and WealthCounsel; experience with document management systems is highly desirable.
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to produce clear legal drafting and proofreading; strong transcription skills are a plus.
- Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail in data entry, filing, and document review processes.
- Effective interviewing techniques for client intake or witness interviews; professional phone etiquette is essential.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality work standards.
