In this vital role, you will provide personalized in-home care to clients across diverse needs, ensuring their safety, comfort, and independence. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with clients to enhance their quality of life through compassionate assistance and tailored support. I am looking for someone who can do 24 hour shifts, nights and days, weekends. Days needs to be flexiable to cover vacations. Have cpr, pass a background, 6 hour dementia with some of this classes will help right canadiate. I am currently looking for an on call person someone who is available to work any day or night and weeekends.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support to promote independence.
- Monitor and report on clients’ health status, noting any changes or concerns to healthcare professionals promptly.
- Administer medication reminders and ensure adherence to prescribed treatment plans.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness or isolation.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including meal preparation, laundry, and maintaining a clean, safe environment.
- Support clients with mobility devices or assistive tools to ensure safety during movement.
- Document care activities accurately and maintain detailed records of client interactions and observations.
Skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusting relationships with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively coordinate with healthcare providers, family members, and team members.
- Ability to follow detailed care plans and adapt quickly to changing client needs.
- Experience working with elderly populations or individuals requiring post-acute or sub-acute care is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of medical-surgical procedures, geriatrics, hospital medicine, emergency medicine, and inpatient care settings enhances your effectiveness.
