Position Summary
The Accounting Manager oversees the financial operations of a tribal healthcare organization, ensuring accurate accounting, regulatory compliance, and strong fiscal stewardship in support of community health services. This role manages accounting functions, supervises staff, and partners with leadership to maintain compliance with tribal, federal, and healthcare‑specific requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day‑to‑day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll coordination, and month‑end close
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, tribal financial policies, and applicable federal healthcare regulations (e.g., grants, IHS, Medicaid/Medicare)
- Prepare and review financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses for leadership and tribal stakeholders
- Oversee audits, grant reporting, and financial reporting requirements for healthcare programs
- Lead, mentor, and develop accounting staff while promoting accuracy, accountability, and cultural respect
Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
