Duties
- Assist customers in selecting flowers, plants, gardening supplies, and outdoor décor to meet their needs and preferences
- Provide expert advice on floral design, plant care, lawn care, landscape maintenance, and gardening techniques
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for transactions including cash handling and retail math calculations
- Maintain attractive merchandising displays and ensure shelves are stocked with fresh products and seasonal items
- Support inventory management through stocking, organizing supplies, and identifying plants by their characteristics
- Engage with customers via phone communication to answer questions and provide product recommendations
- Help with outdoor work tasks such as planting, pruning, watering, lawn care, and landscape maintenance when needed
Requirements
- Proven experience in retail sales or customer service within a garden center or similar environment
- Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering procedures, and retail math for accurate transactions
- Strong communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers
- Organizational skills to manage merchandising displays and stock levels efficiently
