Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Industrial Sewing Machine Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating industrial sewing machines to produce high-quality sewn textile products/soft goods using specified pre-cut patterns and materials. Your expertise will contribute to efficient production workflows, ensuring that each item meets our quality standards. Duties
- Operate and perform daily maintenance on sewing equipment, including but not limited to thread machine, adjust tension, replace bobbins, and regularly oil sewing machines
- Follow established product construction guidelines, quality standards and safety procedures at all times
- Inspect completed components for defects or inconsistencies, making necessary adjustments or rework as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation
- Collaborate with and support team members to meet production deadlines
- Monitor machine operation to detect issues, such as defective stitching, breaks in thread, or machine malfunction
- Perform various manual assembly operations, such as trimming with scissors
- Perform other related duties and tasks as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong understanding of soft goods construction and sewing techniques
- Previous experience in manufacturing environments, particularly in textile production is preferred
- Excellent sewing skills with an eye for detail and quality control.
Requirements
- Proficient in the operation of a sewing machine
- Must be able to sit for up to 3 hours at a time
- Must be able to stand for occasional periods up to 3 hours at a time
- Must be able to use both hands and one foot to operate machine controls
- Must be able to lift up to 20lbs to move materials or components, as needed
- Must be able to read a tape measure, count parts and use scissors
- Must understand and communicate in English
- Must be approved in work in USA
Work Hours
- Monday - Thursday, 6am-4:30pm
