Virginia Railing and Gates is a manufacturer of custom metal railings, gates, and other ornamental metal scopes. We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Project Manager to lead and oversee complex projects from contract execution to completion. This role demands a proactive leader with a passion for construction management, capable of coordinating multidisciplinary teams, managing budgets, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and in compliance with all regulations. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in managing projects with residential and commercial contractors, utilizing project management software, and maintaining clear communication across all stakeholders.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of projects, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
- Develop detailed project schedules using internal project management software, coordinating construction schedule timelines effectively.
- Manage project budgets through cost estimation, cost management strategies, and tracking expenditures to maximize efficiency.
- Oversee the preparation and review of construction plans, schematics, blueprints, and regulatory documents to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to facilitate seamless project communication and problem-solving.
- Monitor construction site activities to ensure safety protocols are followed and regulatory compliance is maintained at all times.
- Utilize various construction management software required by our clients such as ProCore, Bluebeam, HeavyBid, and Microsoft Office tools for documentation, reporting, and project tracking.
- Manage teams in a construction management role by assigning tasks, reviewing progress, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Conduct regular reviews to assess progress against plans and resolve issues promptly.
- Ensure all construction activities adhere to local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
REQUIRED SKILLSET
- Proven experience managing complex commercial construction projects with a strong background in construction management.
- Proficiency in project management software including Primavera P6, ProCore, Bluebeam, HeavyBid, Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant tools.
- Extensive knowledge of construction scheduling techniques and project coordination strategies.
- Strong understanding of estimating processes and budget management practices.
- Hands-on experience with blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction plans review.
- Demonstrated ability to manage teams effectively on-site while maintaining high safety standards.
- Familiarity with construction regulations, legal contracts, permits, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently under tight deadlines.
- Construction site experience emphasizing safety protocols and regulatory adherence is essential.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with clients, contractors, vendors, and internal teams.
