Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and energetic Welder/Fitter to join our dynamic manufacturing and construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing metal components with precision and efficiency. Your expertise in various welding techniques, blueprint reading, and mechanical knowledge will contribute to the successful completion of diverse projects, including pipe systems, structural frameworks, and HVAC components. Responsibilities
- Perform MIG welding, FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), TIG welding, and other welding processes to join metal parts according to specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly.
- Fit and assemble metal components using hand tools, power tools, calipers, and rigging equipment.
- Cut, thread, bend tubes and pipes, solder, and perform pipe fitting tasks in accordance with industry standards such as ASME codes & standards.
- Maintain mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues during fabrication or installation processes.
- Operate construction site equipment safely while adhering to safety protocols for welding, plumbing, HVAC systems, or pipeline projects.
- Assist in maintenance tasks including tube bending, assembly of piping systems, and routine inspections on-site or in manufacturing facilities.
Requirements
- Proven experience with MIG welding, FCAW, TIG welding, fire sprinkler fitting, and <LOCATION> welding techniques.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams confidently.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of hand tools, power tools, calipers, pipe threading equipment, and rigging procedures.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
- Familiarity with ASME codes & standards applicable to pipeline or pressure vessel fabrication.
- Construction site experience with exposure to HVAC systems, plumbing installations, or manufacturing environments preferred.
- Knowledge of soldering techniques and tube bending for piping applications.
- Ability to work safely while adhering to OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
