Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Sports Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching, fitness, sports, and working with younger children.
- This role involves engaging with students of ages 2-5 years old, promoting physical fitness, and fostering a positive learning environment. The Instructor will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in various multi-sport activities, ensuring safety, and encouraging motor skill development.
PLEASE NOTE: We travel to preschools across Central Nassau County. You must be willing to travel to these schools. This is a P/T role.
Responsibilities
- Teach and lead classes in various physical activities and multi-sport.
- Implement the curriculum during each class you teach.
- Ensure the safety of all participants by adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a positive learning environment.
- Provide support to students to enhance their motor skills and confidence.
- Maintain equipment in good condition while reporting any issues as necessary.
Experience
- Previous experience in instructing or coaching sports is preferred but not required.
- Experience working with students in a childcare or educational setting is preferred.
