Our client, a leading organization in the energy and industrial research sector, is seeking a Lab Technician I to join their team. As a Lab Technician I, you will be part of the CCUS & Separations team supporting research and development efforts in gas and liquid separation processes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.

Pay Range: $26.93
Shift: 8 hour shifts
What's the Job?
- Assist in research and development of new physical and chemical separation processes for hydrocarbons at laboratory, bench, and pilot scales.
- Prepare separation agents such as solvents, adsorbents, and membranes, and evaluate their performance using various small-scale units.
- Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain separation test equipment including batch reactors and microunits.
- Compile experimental data, perform basic calculations, and support data analysis for research engineers.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized laboratory environment, including routine calibration, safety inspections, and inventory management.
What's Needed?
- Strong foundational knowledge in chemistry and mathematics.
- Proficiency in computer applications such as MS Outlook, Excel, Word, and analytical instrument software.
- Basic laboratory skills with experience in experimental setups and equipment operation.
- Mechanical aptitude for repairing and modifying laboratory equipment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
