Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic person to join our team, bringing passion and expertise to our food service operations. In this role, you will be responsible for handling in meal preparation, maintaining high safety and cleanliness standards, and supporting the overall food service experience. Your food skills and attention to detail will help ensure that every meal meets quality standards and is delivered efficiently. Responsibilities
- Assist with menu planning and prepare meals according to established recipes and nutritional guidelines
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, slicers, ovens, and other cooking tools
- Prepare food items through slicing, chopping, cooking, and plating to meet quality standards
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by following proper sanitation procedures and cleaning schedules
- Support food handling protocols to ensure safety standards are consistently met or exceeded
- Communicate effectively with kitchen/bar staff to coordinate meal preparation and service
- Follow safety standards in production, food safety management practices, and proper food storage procedures
Experience
- Previous experience in food service environments preferred
- Proven experience with a focus on line cook and food safety
- Knowledge of menu planning, recipe adherence, and independent cooking
- Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment safely and maintaining high hygiene standards
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with kitchen staff and team members
- Experience working in restaurant or food industry settings demonstrating excellent knife skills and slicing techniques
- Understanding of food safety regulations, including proper food handling, sanitation practices, and safety standards
