Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Crawlspace Service Technician to join our team. This role involves inspecting, maintaining, and repairing crawlspaces to ensure the safety and integrity of residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, technical aptitude, and the ability to work in confined spaces. Prior experience with electrical testing tools such as an ohmmeter is a plus. This position offers an opportunity to develop specialized skills in home and building maintenance while contributing to property preservation and safety.
Duties
- Conduct thorough inspections of crawlspaces to identify issues such as moisture, mold, pests, or structural damage
- Perform repairs and maintenance tasks including sealing, insulation installation, and moisture control measures
- Use specialized tools such as ohmmeters to test electrical components and ensure proper functioning of systems
- Document findings and repairs accurately for client records and company reports
- Assist in the setup and cleanup of work sites, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding work performed and recommended follow-up actions
Qualifications
- Prior experience or training in home inspection, construction, or related fields is preferred
- Knowledge of electrical testing tools, especially an ohmmeter, is highly desirable
- Ability to work in tight or confined spaces within crawlspaces for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Good physical condition with the ability to lift moderate loads and perform manual tasks
- Valid driver’s license is required for travel between job sites
- Must be reliable, safety-conscious, and able to follow detailed instructions
