Food runners are the bridge between great and fast customer service. Food runners know the food, table layouts and help support the pace of the business.
Share in tips and can expect to earn anywhere from $4 to $6 more dollars per hour. Combined with your hourly rate, that's a potential total of $20.00 to $22.00 per hour, depending on the day and shifts you work!
Qualifications
- Shows up on time as scheduled or proactively communicates when can't work.
- Open work availability (preferred)
- Can recognize different meat cuts.
- Knows the restaurant table layouts.
- Able to drop off the right food at the right tables.
- Able to obtain a TB test result (state of Hawaii requirement)
- Food handlers card
- 18+ Years old preferred.
Food runners are responsible for:
Helping servers expedite food, soup, and drink orders. Answering any guest questions or fulfilling any guest requests. Communicating with servers to ensure orders are entered in before items are delivered to the guests.
1 year of restaurant experience is required. Minimum 18 years of age or about to (or have) graduated high school, is required. Good communication, a high sense of urgency and positive attitude is a must.
