Job Summary:
The Laundromat Attendant is responsible for providing excellent customer service, maintaining cleanliness and orderliness throughout the facility, and assisting with the operation of self-service and wash-and-fold laundry services. This role ensures a pleasant and efficient experience for all customers while supporting the smooth daily operation of the laundromat. THIS IS FOR A PART-TIME POSITION ONLY. ONE OR TWO DAYS A WEEK
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Operate and monitor commercial washer and dryer machines as needed.
- Handle wash, dry, and fold service orders: sort laundry, treat stains, and properly fold clothing.
- Handle dry cleaning drop off services.
- Keep the facility clean, including wiping machines, sweeping/mopping floors, emptying trash, and maintaining restroom cleanliness.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to ownership.
- Manage supplies inventory and restock detergent, bleach, fabric softeners, and other materials.
- Enforce store policies and help resolve customer concerns or complaints.
- Open and/or close the laundromat according to procedures, if required.
- Follow safety and sanitation guidelines at all times.
Qualifications:
- Previous customer service or laundry experience is a plus, but not required.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic knowledge of laundry practices and fabric care is a plus.
- Will provide on-site training.
