- Always demonstrate quality customer service
- Work alone and or in a team with professionalism and efficiency
- Take responsibility for the daily repair and upkeep of the property and the preparation of vacant units for occupancy
- Maintain and keep an inventory of all supplies and equipment
- Respond to problems and find solutions to any repairs needed on the premises including installation of appliances, HVAC, electrical, and others in a timely manner
- Ensure adherence to OSHA standards as well as the Company's safety and hazard communications programs, policies, and procedures
- Work with the service team to ensure the premises is presentable and safe for operations
- Demonstrate a positive attitude and work ethic to help keep the atmosphere friendly and productive
- Secure the maintenance shop(s) at the close of every workday
- Remove snow and ice as necessary
- Other duties as assigned by property manager and maintenance supervisor.
- Be available to work on an on-call basis
- Have standard tools or acquire them over time
Qualifications:
- Has a fair amount of appliance knowledge and background including diagnosing and repairing all types of appliances as applicable on our properties.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred
- 1 year Maintenance Technician experience is preferred
- Able to lift over 50 lbs. consistently throughout an 8-12 hour workday
- Must be able to read, write, and perform basic mathematics without assistance
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions
- Effective communication skills
- Familiar and compliant with OSHA regulations.
- Some knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical would be beneficial.
- Remain on call after hours if necessary.
- Ability to work overtime if necessary.
- Reliable transportation is required

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
