Duties
- Provide attentive pet sitting services, including feeding, walking, administering medications, and engaging pets in stimulating activities
- Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques to ensure their well-being and staff safety
- Assist with dog training sessions to promote good behavior and socialization skills
- Support veterinary teams with basic procedures, animal restraint, and care tasks based on veterinary experience or technician background
- Perform animal handling across different species such as dogs, cats, and horses, ensuring gentle and effective management
- Maintain cleanliness of kennels and pet areas while adhering to health and safety standards
- Offer pet grooming services when needed to keep animals comfortable and presentable
- Engage with pet owners professionally to provide updates on their pets’ status and answer questions about care routines
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to equipment or supplies necessary for daily operations
Qualifications
- Prior experience in veterinary assisting or technician roles is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of dog training techniques and animal handling skills
- Experience with veterinary procedures or veterinary technology is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when required for equipment or supplies
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members
- Familiarity with pet grooming practices and kennel management is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
