Compensation
- $20–$24 per hour

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula focused on early childhood development, literacy education, and foundational math skills.
- Create a nurturing classroom environment that encourages exploration, independence, and social interaction among toddlers.
- Manage daily classroom activities with enthusiasm, ensuring smooth transitions between lessons, playtime, and rest periods.
- Utilize behavior management techniques to promote positive behavior and address challenges with patience and consistency.
- Collaborate with families to communicate children’s progress, developmental milestones, and any special education or early intervention needs.
- Incorporate Montessori principles and other educational philosophies to enhance learning experiences tailored to individual children’s needs.
- Maintain accurate records of lesson plans, assessments, standardized testing results when applicable, and child welfare documentation.
Skills
- Extensive experience in classroom management within early childhood education settings, especially with toddlers.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development theories and best practices in preschool education.
- Skilled in curriculum development with an emphasis on literacy education, math readiness, physical education, and social-emotional learning.
- Proven ability to work effectively with children from diverse backgrounds including those requiring special education or early intervention services.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with parents, colleagues, and community partners.
- Familiarity with classroom experience in daycare or private school environments; Montessori training is a plus.
- Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate standardized testing where appropriate while fostering creativity and curiosity.
