Overview
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Director to lead and oversee our STEM-Accredited Summer Camp program, focused on video games. Our 10 week camp season starts June 15 and runs through August 21. We are seeking an energetic, fun and exicitng camp director that has experience working with kids ages 7-12. You will be responsible for managing the children (supported by 2 camp counselors). The camp currciulum is set, the learning activities are set, we just need you!
Duties
- Open Uplink on camp days and prepare for camp arrivals
- Oversee daily activities at camp, ensuring that kids are well-behaved and following directions.
- Ensure that camp attendees are having fun while also participating in outdoor activities and our daily learning modules.
- Supervise the camp counselors to ensure they are working with the children and demonstrating the right behavior to model to the attendees
- Deliver daily learning module as a fun exercise and suggest new learning models that are inline with our mission to make better gamers and better humans
- Foster strong relationships with parents and guardians through regular communication about children’s day at camp
- Ensure that counselors are cleaning up after the camp day
- From time to time you may also need to help setup a golf bay for golfers
Experience
- Experience working with children in a school or camp setting
- Ability to present child clearances
- Hands-on attitude with a focus on fun and safety
- Ability to manage many children in a controlled environment and to handle conflict with a positive outcome
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with staff, parents, and children effectively
- Familiarity with video games such as Roblox, Minecraft and Fortnite is a plus

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
