American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric CVOR position in Dallas, TX, requiring OR experience with cardiac patients and availability for rotating call.

Located in a dedicated Pediatric CVOR unit within a fast-growing pediatric cardiac center
-
Unit consists of 2 Pedi CVOR rooms staffed by a dedicated pediatric cardiac team (no floating required)
-
Performs open heart surgery on pediatric congenital heart patients and bedside sternal closures and washout procedures in the ICU

Day shift schedule: 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
-
Rotating, self-scheduling on-call requirement

EMR: Meditech
-
8-week contract
-
Active TX RN license or Compact RN license (must be active at time of consideration)

Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start)

Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience in the specialty

OR experience with cardiac patients required; pediatric CVOR experience strongly preferred

CVOR scrub skills preferred but not required

US SSN and date of birth required for consideration

One professional reference required (two required if licensed in Florida or Missouri)

No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Works closely with pediatric cath lab, echo teams, and pre/post anesthesia unit teams as part of a dedicated pediatric cardiac service line

Strong teamwork skills and high performance standards are key to success on this unit

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
