Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Certified AMS Lead Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including Montessori principles and literacy-focused activities.
- Lead classroom instruction for preschool-aged children, incorporating child development best practices and individualized learning strategies.
- Manage classroom behavior and maintain a safe, inclusive environment conducive to active learning and exploration.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share progress, address concerns, and foster strong home-school connections.
- Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws, health and safety regulations, and first aid/CPR protocols to safeguard children’s well-being.
- Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods to monitor developmental milestones and tailor instruction accordingly.
- Supervise classroom staff and support staff in delivering high-quality childcare, early intervention services, and toddler care programs.
Skills
- Extensive experience in curriculum development tailored for early childhood settings, including preschool and toddler care.
- Proven ability to work effectively with children of diverse backgrounds, including those requiring special education or early intervention services.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and classroom management strategies.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
- Familiarity with Montessori methods, literacy education techniques, math instruction, physical education activities, and standardized testing procedures.
- Ability to lead lesson planning sessions that incorporate child welfare considerations and promote holistic development.
- Certification in first aid and CPR; understanding of mandated reporting laws related to child safety.
