DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead development and execution of integrated marketing and communications strategies that support organizational priorities and community awareness.
- Update and maintain brand identity, messaging and visual standards across all communications platforms.
- Coordinate graphic design and visual content development for internal and external communications.
- Write and design marketing materials including brochures, presentations, reports and promotional materials.
- Develop internal and external publications such as newsletters, releases, announcements, special projects and assignments.
- Strengthen and manage the organization’s digital communications strategy, including website, social media, newsletters, blogs and email campaigns.
- Develop and oversee website updates and ensure accurate, timely information.
- Monitor and manage online reputation platforms including Google reviews and community feedback.
- Serve as the organization’s media relations lead, drafting press releases, coordinating media outreach and responding to non-emergent inquiries. CEO will handle emergency inquiries.
- Support leadership with public messaging and crisis communications as needed.
- Coordinate media opportunities, interviews and storytelling that highlight the organization’s impact.
- Seek, develop and manage community, school and hospital partnerships.
- Represent the organization at community meetings, public events and outreach opportunities.
- Support HPC’s outreach team with strategic ideas, planning, materials, etc., to increase the clinic’s reputation in the community and meet clinical goals.
- Build and maintain relationships with community partners, civic groups and local organizations including local managed care orgainzations.. Collaborate with the VP of Development to coordinate Chamber of Commerce participation and partnership opportunities.
- Coordinate and attend outreach events, health fairs and community activities to promote services and programs.
- Lead marketing and communications for organizational events, including promotional campaigns, messaging, media outreach and marketing materials.
- Support fundraising initiatives by developing and implementing event promotion strategies, storytelling and public engagement efforts.
- Manage event logistics coordination and visibility for key events such as the United Way fundraiser and other community engagement activities.
Volunteer Engagement

Collaborate with human resources for the recruitment, onboarding and coordination of volunteers and interns supporting marketing, outreach and engagement activities and for other departments.

Work with the VP of Development to align marketing, communications and fundraising visibility strategies.

Partner with internal departments to ensure consistent messaging and effective promotion of programs and services.

Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, nonprofit management, or related field preferred
- 3+ years of experience in marketing, communications, public relations, or nonprofit outreach
- Experience managing digital platforms, media relations and marketing campaigns
- Strong writing, storytelling and communication skills
- Experience representing organizations in community settings
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Ability to sit/stand for prolonged periods and lift up to 25 lbs. (occasionally 60 lbs.).
- Those physical movements and the degree of mobility, manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination normally associated with office work will be performed on a repetitive basis.

The Director of Marketing & Engagement leads the organization’s marketing, communications, outreach and community engagement strategies to elevate visibility, strengthen partnerships and support mission advancement.
This role is responsible for developing and executing integrated marketing and communication strategies across digital platforms, media relations, community outreach and brand management. The Director ensures consistent messaging, strengthens the organization’s public presence and supports fundraising initiatives through strategic promotion, event communications and storytelling.
The position also oversees volunteer engagement and represents the organization in the community to expand awareness and partnerships.
