Experience Level: Journeyman, Industrial/Maintenance Electrician, Master Electrician, or Electrical/Controls Technician
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician / Electrical Controls Technician to support electrical systems, production equipment, and facility operations within a manufacturing environment.
We are open to candidates from several electrical backgrounds, including Journeyman Electricians, Industrial or Maintenance Electricians, Master Electricians, and experienced Electrical/Controls Technicians.
This is not an entry-level apprentice or electrical helper position.
The ideal candidate will have strong electrical troubleshooting skills, be comfortable working around industrial equipment, and have the ability to diagnose electrical problems efficiently and safely. Candidates with experience in 480V three-phase systems, motors, motor controls, VFDs, PLCs, sensors, and automated manufacturing equipment are strongly encouraged to apply.
Candidates We Are Looking For
We will consider experienced candidates at any of the following levels:
- Journeyman Electrician – Experienced in electrical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, conduit, panels, motors, and electrical systems.
- Industrial / Maintenance Electrician – Experienced troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems and production machinery in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Master Electrician – Advanced electrical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems, oversee electrical work, and provide technical guidance when needed.
- Electrical / Controls Technician – Experienced with industrial automation, PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, sensors, controls, instrumentation, and machine troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical problems involving manufacturing and production equipment.
- Perform preventive and corrective electrical maintenance.
- Troubleshoot 480V three-phase electrical systems and other industrial power systems.
- Diagnose problems involving motors, motor starters, contactors, relays, breakers, transformers, control circuits, and electrical panels.
- Troubleshoot and replace VFDs, sensors, switches, solenoids, and other machine-control components.
- Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment and identify electrical or controls-related failures.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, ladder diagrams, and equipment manuals.
- Install and repair conduit, wiring, disconnects, panels, and other electrical components as needed.
- Use electrical testing equipment, including multimeters and other diagnostic tools, to safely identify electrical problems.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and work efficiently to minimize production downtime.
- Perform electrical inspections and identify potential equipment or safety concerns before failures occur.
- Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, modifications, and continuous-improvement projects.
- Follow proper Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and all applicable electrical safety requirements.
- Maintain accurate maintenance and repair documentation.
- Work closely with production, maintenance, engineering, and management to resolve equipment issues.
Preferred Experience & Qualifications
- Previous electrical experience in a manufacturing, industrial, production, or heavy-equipment environment.
- Strong electrical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Experience with 480V / three-phase industrial electrical systems.
- Experience troubleshooting motors and motor-control circuits.
- Knowledge of VFDs and industrial controls.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and ladder logic.
- Understanding of OSHA electrical safety and LOTO requirements.
- Familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- PLC troubleshooting experience is highly preferred.
- HMI, automation, instrumentation, or controls experience is a plus.
- Journeyman or Master Electrician license is highly valued but may not be required depending on the candidate's industrial experience.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for an electrician who can do more than simply replace parts.
The right candidate should be able to troubleshoot a problem, determine the root cause, make the appropriate repair, and help prevent the problem from happening again.
Strong candidates will be comfortable working independently, responding to production equipment failures, communicating findings clearly, and taking ownership of electrical issues from diagnosis through completion.

Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 per hour
