This is a client-facing, consultative sales role focused on helping homeowners select flooring solutions that match their design preferences, lifestyle needs, and budget. The business launched in September 2023 and is in growth mode, with revenue increasing from approximately $450K in 2024 to $600K in 2025 and a goal of $1.1M in 2026.
About the Opportunity
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a performance-driven environment, enjoys meeting homeowners in person, and knows how to build trust, uncover needs, and close business. The ideal candidate has experience in in-home sales or another consultative, customer-facing sales environment. Flooring experience is helpful but not required; success in home improvement, remodeling, painting, bath, kitchen, or related outside sales environments can translate well. Athletic or sports backgrounds are also viewed positively because they often align with competitiveness, discipline, and coachability.
Key Responsibilities

What Success Looks Like
Success in this role means consistently converting in-home consultations into closed business, creating an outstanding homeowner experience, and helping the company grow and stabilize its sales function so ownership can focus more on leadership and business development. The role is tied directly to individual productivity and revenue generation, with a monthly closed-sales target of approximately $50,000.
Schedule and Territory
This is a highly flexible schedule built around customer appointments. Evening and weekend availability is often required to accommodate homeowner schedules. The territory includes North County San Diego, including Oceanside, Carlsbad, San Marcos, Vista, Bonsall, and Pala Mesa.
Compensation
- Base salary: approximately $60,000, flexible depending on experience
- Monthly quota: $50,000 in closed sales
- Uncapped 10% commission on revenue above monthly quota
- Strong earning potential tied directly to production and sales performance
Qualifications
Preferred:
- Background in in-home sales
- Experience in consultative sales environments
- Home improvement or remodeling sales experience, such as flooring, bath, kitchen, painting, or similar services
- Strong closing ability and comfort working in a performance-based role
