Job Description
Superior Skilled Trades seeking an experienced and dependable Residential Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing residential electrical systems. This position requires strong knowledge of electrical codes, safe work practices, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
PAY: $21.00–$24.00/hour (based upon experience)
HOURS: 7:00 AM-4:30PM
SCHEDULE: Expected work will be Monday–Friday; approximately 40+ hours/week
START DATE: ASAP
DURATION: This is anticipated to be a temp‑to‑permanent position
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair residential electrical systems
- Install wiring, outlets, switches, lighting fixtures, panels, breakers, and electrical equipment
- Perform electrical service upgrades and panel replacements
- Run and terminate electrical wiring through walls, ceilings, attics, crawl spaces, and other areas
- Install and troubleshoot lighting, receptacles, GFCI/AFCI devices, smoke detectors, and other electrical components
- Diagnosing electrical problems using meters and testing equipment
- Read and interpret electrical plans, blueprints, and diagrams
- Perform rough-in and finish electrical work on new construction and remodeling projects
- Ensure all work complies with applicable electrical codes and safety requirements
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Communicate professionally with homeowners, contractors, and other trades
- Complete work efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship
- Follow company safety procedures and OSHA requirements
Qualifications
- Previous residential electrical experience preferred
- Knowledge of residential wiring methods and electrical systems
- Ability to read blueprints and electrical diagrams
- Familiarity with NEC requirements and local electrical codes
- Experience using electrical hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues safely and efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and customer-service skills
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry electrical materials and equipment
- Ability to work from ladders and lifts
- Ability to work in attics, crawl spaces, basements, and other confined areas
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb, and work for extended periods
Preferred Qualifications
- Journeyman Electrician license
- Electrical apprenticeship or technical training
- OSHA certification
- Experience with new residential construction, remodeling, and service work
