The Cliff House Inn is seeking a dependable, hands-on maintenance technician to help maintain our hotel, restaurant and grounds.
This position is ideal for someone who is comfortable handling a wide variety of everyday repairs and preventative maintenance. We are looking for a practical problem solver who can identify an issue, determine what needs to be done, and complete routine repairs without requiring constant supervision.
Responsibilities include:
- General hotel room maintenance and repairs
- Basic plumbing repairs, including faucets, toilets, drains and fixtures
- Basic electrical troubleshooting and replacement of switches, outlets, fixtures and bulbs
- Painting, patching and drywall repairs
- Door, lock, hardware and furniture repairs
- Carpet Cleaning
- Minor carpentry
- Pool Maintenance
- Troubleshooting equipment and mechanical problems
- Pool and exterior maintenance as needed
- Restaurant and kitchen equipment maintenance and minor repairs
- Inspecting guest rooms and common areas for maintenance issues
- Keeping maintenance areas, tools and supplies organized
- Coordinating with outside contractors when a repair requires a licensed specialist
- Responding promptly to maintenance issues that affect hotel guests
Qualifications:
- Previous hotel, apartment, building or facilities maintenance experience preferred
- Strong general mechanical ability
- Ability to troubleshoot problems independently
- Basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry and painting skills
- Dependable attendance and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift and move equipment and supplies
- Professional appearance and attitude when working around hotel guests
- Ability to prioritize urgent repairs while continuing routine maintenance work
Full-time position. Some weekend availability may be required.
Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
