Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyman Plumber to join our construction and maintenance team. Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in accordance with local building codes and project specifications.
- Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to execute precise pipe layouts.
- Perform pipe threading, cutting, fitting, and assembly using hand tools and power tools to ensure secure connections.
- Work with gas piping systems, HVAC components, and other mechanical systems as required on various projects.
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on plumbing systems to ensure optimal operation and longevity.
- Adhere to safety regulations and industry standards during all phases of installation and repair work.
- Collaborate with construction teams, contractors, and clients to coordinate project timelines and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Operate heavy lifting equipment safely when handling large pipes or materials on construction sites.
- Support remodeling projects by installing new fixtures or upgrading existing plumbing infrastructure.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service skills by communicating effectively with clients regarding work progress or issues.
Skills
- Proven construction experience with a focus on plumbing installation and repair.
- Proficiency in welding techniques relevant to plumbing applications.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing building codes, local regulations, and safety standards.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction plans accurately.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, pipe threading machines, and other relevant equipment.
- Experience with maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) tasks across various settings.
- Excellent customer service skills combined with clear communication abilities.
- Familiarity with construction site safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and material estimations.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper ergonomics.
