Curriculum Specialist (TOSA) Description
The Curriculum Specialist (TOSA) acts as a bridge between administration and the classroom. The primary goal is to enhance the quality of student education by serving as a mentor and role model for teachers. This role is responsible for providing both direct and indirect program support to ensure consistent and effective educational services across the school.
The TOSA will report directly to the Administrative Team.
Curriculum Specialist (TOSA) Responsibilities
- Instructional Coaching & Mentorship, providing frequent feedback to teachers regarding instruction
- Work alongside teachers in the classroom to model lessons, observe instruction, and provide actionable feedback
- Work with academic administrator to adjust instruction based on data
- Collaborate with teachers and teams to plan for instruction and analyze data (including formal and informal assessments and student work)
- Support administration in evaluation of curriculum and fidelity of implementation
- Plans family outreach events and information nights for families
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Education (or similar field) Required, Masters preferred
- Clear CA Multiple Subject Credential Required
- At least 3-5 years of successful classroom teaching in a public-school setting
- Coaching experience, delivering professional development and or school team leader strongly preferred
- Knowledge of Student Intervention Support systems
- Knowledge of Administering and Preparing Students for CAASPP Testing
- Effective oral and written communication
- Bilingual in Spanish or Hebrew, preferred
Schedule: M-F 7:30 PM-4:15 PM (4:30 PM on select days), some evening events
Number of Hours: 40 hours a week

Salary:
$71,070- $81,637 for newly hired multiple subject credential (placed on a salary table that goes up to $120,000) a year PLUS stipends. First year is within the $71-81K range.
