Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Department: Maintenance
Reports To: Lead Maintenance Technician/Property Manager
We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to support maintenance operations at a multifamily apartment community. This position is responsible for service requests, apartment make-readies, preventive maintenance, grounds upkeep, and emergency repairs, ensuring the property is well-maintained and move-in ready.
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance repairs for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, and carpentry
- Complete apartment make-readies, painting, and unit turns
- Respond to on-call and after-hours maintenance emergencies
- Conduct preventive maintenance (filters, inspections, smoke detectors, A/C coils)
- Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment
- Assist with vendor coordination and capital repair projects
- Maintain community grounds, common areas, and pool (if applicable)
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of multifamily maintenance or apartment maintenance experience
- Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance repair
- Experience with preventive maintenance programs
- Ability to prioritize work orders and meet deadlines
- Must provide own tools and reliable transportation
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance
- On-call rotation and weekend availability
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs with assistance
