Responsibilities
- Prepare pizza dough, sauces, toppings, and other ingredients following established recipes and standards
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, slicers, and food prep tools safely and efficiently
- Assemble pizzas with precision, ensuring consistency in presentation and flavor
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations in accordance with food safety sanitizing procedures
- Support the kitchen team with food production tasks including braising, poaching, grilling, and food handling
- Assist with menu planning by suggesting new pizza varieties or ingredient combinations
- Follow food safety management protocols to ensure high standards of hygiene and quality control during food preparation
Requirements
- Previous experience in food preparation or a culinary environment is preferred; experience in dietary aide roles or fine dining is a plus
- Strong knife skills and familiarity with operating various kitchen equipment required
- Knowledge of food safety procedures, sanitizing practices, and proper food handling techniques necessary
- Experience with high-volume production environments or catering is advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaborative kitchen work
- Prior restaurant experience or background in the food industry is highly desirable
