Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 40 hours per week – 10 Hours per day, 6am-4pm

Position Overview
We are partnering with a leading aerospace and defense organization to hire an experienced
Avionics Technician IV to support advanced aircraft avionics installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities. This role is responsible for performing complex avionics work in accordance with FAA, FCC, and company standards while ensuring aircraft systems operate safely and efficiently.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive hands-on experience with aircraft wiring, avionics systems integration, electrical troubleshooting, and technical drawing interpretation. This position offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated aerospace platforms in a fast-paced and highly technical environment.
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform installation, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of aircraft avionics systems and components.
- Diagnose electrical and avionics system malfunctions and implement corrective actions.
- Route, install, terminate, and repair aircraft wiring harnesses in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications.
- Interpret and work from technical schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, manuals, and engineering documentation.
- Perform soldering, crimping, wire repair, and connector installation using industry-standard techniques.
- Conduct operational and functional testing of avionics systems to verify performance and compliance.
- Maintain avionics test equipment, tools, technical manuals, and calibration records.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with FAA, FCC, and company policies and procedures.
- Support aircraft modification, upgrade, and retrofit programs.
- Assist with troubleshooting efforts during aircraft inspections and maintenance events.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior technicians as required.
- Maintain accurate maintenance documentation and work records.

Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Typically 10+ years of avionics maintenance, installation, or aircraft electrical systems experience.
- Advanced experience with:
- Avionics maintenance
- Wiring installation and routing
- Wiring repair
- Avionics installation tooling
- Soldering and crimping techniques
- Aircraft electrical troubleshooting
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Strong ability to interpret:
- Technical schematics
- Wiring diagrams
- Blueprints
- Technical manuals
- Engineering publications
- Ability to route wires and install avionics components per engineering specifications.
- Must provide and maintain personal tools in good working conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
- FCC General Radiotelephone Operator License (GROL).
- Familiarity with FCC regulations and avionics communications systems.
- Experience mentoring, training, and guiding junior technicians.
- Working knowledge of:
- Oscilloscopes
- Spectrometers
- Pitot-static test equipment
- Aerospace and Defense industry experience.
- U.S. Department of Defense program experience.
- Military aviation maintenance experience.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
