A manufacturing company is seeking a Material Handler who will be responsible for maintaining the flow of materials needed for manufacturing and distribution operations. In addition, you will support productivity by receiving, transporting, storing, issuing, and shipping materials while maintaining inventory accuracy and adhering to safety and quality standards. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Job Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, store materials, and place inventory in designated storage locations
- Unload incoming shipments and verify quantities and condition of materials
- Supply materials to production operations
- Deliver raw materials, components, and supplies to work centers and production lines to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing activities
- Perform inventory transactions, cycle counts, and stock audits while accurately recording material movements in the ERP or inventory management system
- Use forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other equipment to move materials safely while complying with company safety procedures and housekeeping standards
Job Qualifications:
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED
- If needed, you must be able to obtain and maintain forklift certification
- An understanding of OSHA regulations, lockout/tagout awareness, safe lifting techniques, and basic knowledge of carrier and freight procedures is needed
- Must have experience with barcode scanners, mobile inventory devices, and be proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and inventory software
- Must have experience with SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platform and ERP systems, especially Made2Manage
- Work cooperatively with production, warehouse, purchasing, and logistics to ensure materials are available
- Must be able to demonstrates a high level of accuracy when verifying quantities, recording inventory transactions, and identifying materials
- Prioritize tasks effectively, manage multiple responsibilities, and maintain an organized work area to support productivity and material flow
- Follow procedures, meets attendance and performance expectations, and takes ownership of assigned tasks while maintaining a strong commitment to safety, quality, and inventory accuracy
- Respond effectively to changing production schedules, shifting priorities, and fluctuating workload demands while maintaining productivity and accuracy
- Must have effective communication skills while sharing information clearly and professionally to support efficient operations
- Must be able to travel to other locations when needed
