Position Overview
Black Horse Collision is seeking an experienced and driven Estimator & Production Manager to lead our Collision Department. This is a crucial leadership role responsible for assessing vehicle damage, accurately estimating repair costs, managing production flow, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience from intake to final delivery.
This position requires technical expertise, leadership capability, and strong communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
Damage Assessment & Estimating
- Perform comprehensive vehicle damage inspections
- Prepare detailed, accurate repair estimates using industry-standard software
- Blueprint repairs according to OEM procedures for all makes and models
- Identify supplements and negotiate approvals with insurance adjusters
- Ensure compliance with manufacturer safety and structural standards
Production Management
- Oversee daily collision department workflow
- Manage technician scheduling, repair timelines, and productivity
- Coordinate parts procurement and monitor job progress
- Maintain strict quality control throughout each repair stage
Client & Insurance Communication
- Serve as the primary liaison between clients, insurance carriers, and the production team
- Provide consistent, professional updates throughout the repair process
- Address questions or concerns promptly to ensure complete customer satisfaction
- Deliver a smooth and confidence-driven customer experience
Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of collision estimating and/or production management experience
- Strong knowledge of insurance procedures, DRP programs, and supplement negotiations
- Experience working with all vehicle brands, including European manufacturers
- Proficiency in CCC ONE
- Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills
- Ability to operate efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Pay: $70,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
