WE ARE HIRING: Office Land Survey Roles (Austin, TX)
We are growing our Austin-based civil/survey team and are seeking qualified professionals to join our team. Both roles are primarily office-based (95%) with a dedicated field person already on staff. We are actively interviewing for both of the following full-time roles:
1. Surveyor-in-Training (SIT)
Focus: Boundary analysis, legal research, and tracking toward Texas RPLS licensure.
Responsibilities & Qualifications:
- Must hold a current Texas SIT certification (or be actively registered to take the FS exam).
- Perform higher-level analytical office tasks: deed and title research, easement analysis, boundary determinations, and writing legal descriptions.
- Work directly with our RPLS to ensure compliance with Texas Board standards, gaining the direct office hours required for your full license.
2. Survey CAD Technician
Focus: High-efficiency data processing and production drafting.
Responsibilities & Qualifications:
- 2+ years of dedicated land survey drafting experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Take raw data from the field crew to draft high-quality topographic surveys, ALTA/NSPS land title surveys, and boundary plats.
- Reduce field data, download data collectors, and verify closures.
- Must be comfortable working efficiently to keep project timelines on track.
Shared Requirements for Both Roles:
- Valid Texas Driver's License.
- High attention to detail and strong communication skills to coordinate with our field person.
- Ability to work in our Austin office Monday through Friday.
- Physical capacity to assist in the field on occasional backup days.
