Duties
- Assist with meal preparation and food production, following dietary requirements and nutritional guidelines to support residents’ health needs
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including dishwashers, ovens, and food service tools
- Handle food with care, adhering to strict food safety, sanitation, and hygiene protocols in accordance with JCAHO standards and local health regulations
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, dining spaces, and dishware through thorough cleaning and sanitation practices
- Support the dietary department by organizing supplies, managing manual handling tasks, and ensuring proper storage of food items
- Work with geriatric patients by providing friendly service, respecting dietary restrictions, and supporting their nutritional intake
- Follow workplace safety procedures diligently, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe lifting practices for heavy loads
Experience
- Previous experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or the food industry is highly preferred
- Familiarity with food production, meal preparation, and food handling techniques
- Knowledge of dietary requirements for diverse populations, especially geriatric patients or those with special nutritional needs
- Experience working with kitchen equipment and maintaining sanitation standards in a fast-paced environment
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently while maintaining high-quality service
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while demonstrating excellent customer service skills
- Basic math skills for inventory management and portion control; CPR certification is a plus

Wednesday, Friday-Sunday 11:30am-8Pm
