Job Description:
As a Building Materials Sales Professional, you will play a crucial role in driving sales and expanding our customer base. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, identifying their needs, and providing solutions that exceed their expectations. Your ability to understand the building materials market and deliver exceptional service will be key to your success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Generation: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including contractors, builders, renovation professionals and home owners. Achieve and exceed sales targets through proactive prospecting and relationship building.
- Customer Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing and potential customers. Provide personalized service and address any inquiries or concerns promptly.
- Product Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with the latest building materials and industry trends. Offer expert advice to customers on product selection and application.
- Quote Preparation: Prepare and present accurate quotations, ensuring all customer requirements are met. Negotiate terms and close sales effectively.
- Market Analysis: Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth and areas for improvement.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the management and operations teams to ensure seamless service delivery and support for customers.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Proven track record in sales, preferably in the building materials or construction industry. A strong network within the industry is a plus.
- Skills: Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Ability to build and maintain relationships with a diverse customer base.
- Knowledge: In-depth understanding of building materials, construction practices, and industry regulations. Familiarity with CRM software and sales tools.
