UrgentPaws provides urgent veterinary care for pets facing non-emergency illnesses and injuries. We're a privately owned practice built around convenience and accessibility.
- Hours: Weekdays 3pm–11pm | Weekends & Holidays 10am–8pm
- No overnight shifts, no on-call requirements

What You'll Do
- Serve as the first and last point of contact for pet owners, guiding them through every step of their visit
- Support animal restraint, medication administration, and day-to-day nursing/husbandry care
- Keep thorough, current documentation on patient histories, treatment plans, and medications administered
- Record vitals and gather complete medical backgrounds during intake
- Capture and develop diagnostic X-rays
- Handle sample collection and processing for diagnostics (bloodwork, urinalysis, fecal, cytology, etc.)
- Ready patients for surgical procedures, covering induction, monitoring, and post-op recovery
What We're Looking For
- Degree from a veterinary technology program accredited by the AVMA
- Active RVT license through the California Veterinary Medical Board
- Successful completion of the VTNE
- Ongoing CE compliance to keep California RVT licensure current
- At least one year working as an RVT, ideally in urgent/emergency care
- Solid grasp of clinical and surgical terminology and procedures
- Upbeat, self-starting attitude with a client-first mindset
- Polished interpersonal skills for both client-facing and internal team interactions
