Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Shipping & Receiving Specialist, where your energy and attention to detail will keep our supply chain running smoothly! In this vital role, you will coordinate the movement of goods in and out of our warehouse, ensuring accurate inventory management, timely shipments, and seamless order fulfillment. Your proactive approach will help us maintain high standards of efficiency, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Manage the receipt and inspection of incoming shipments, verifying quantities and condition against purchase orders. Manage inventory levels as needed.
- Prepare outgoing shipments by selecting, packing, and labeling products accurately according to shipping logistics requirements. This includes working with the UPS system and other freight companies to procure the label and correct shipping information.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts (certification preferred), and order pickers to load and unload trucks efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with trade regulations and shipping documentation standards for domestic and international shipments.
- Collaborate with customer service teams to resolve shipping issues promptly and provide updates on order status.
- Assist with production floor needs when not managing the receipts, outgoing shipments or inventory needs.
Experience
- Prior experience working in warehouse operations or logistics environments is highly preferred.
- Hands-on experience with shipping logistics, order fulfillment processes, and international trade regulations.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for inventory counts, measurements, and packaging requirements.
- Valid certification for forklift operation is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills combined with excellent customer service mindset to support seamless warehouse distribution operations.
