Located in Hillside NJ, Gargiulo Produce is currently seeking experienced Order Selectors to join our growing team. The primary function of this position is to prepare product from inventory for outbound shipping. Order selectors are responsible for selecting customer orders and fulfilling them quickly and accurately using handheld devices from our warehouse management system (WMS). In detail, you will be expected to select, stage, palletize, wrap and load product for orders.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Following WMS instructions accurately to read and setup customer orders.
- Locating and selecting the specific warehouse items to fulfill the customer’s order.
- Placing the prepared orders in the correct dock slips
- Performing visual inspections of orders to ensure they are correct and ready for shipment.
- Labeling and wrapping orders when they are completed and ready for shipping.
- Loading setup orders onto correct trucks
- Following warehouse safety procedures for the operation of equipment and maintaining awareness of your surroundings and the other workers
- Operating Electric Riding Jack and other warehouse machinery to prepare orders for shipping.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Warehouse distribution and produce knowledge and experience a plus
- Experience operating electric jack required
- Flexibility in working hours and schedule to accommodate business needs.
Working Conditions:
- Must be able to work in our refrigerated warehouse with 40° F temperature-controlled zones.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $16.50 per hour
