Senior Accountant

Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly capable Senior Accountant to support and manage the organization’s day-to-day accounting and financial operations. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial records, timely reporting, and compliance with applicable regulations, while supporting budgeting, forecasting, and process improvement initiatives. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in maintaining strong financial controls and supporting the organization’s continued growth, with opportunities for professional development and expanded responsibility over time.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and oversee general ledger activity, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Assist with payroll processing and related reconciliations
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis initiatives
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax requirements and assist with audits as needed
- Monitor cash flow and assist with banking and financial transactions
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting efficiency
- Collaborate with internal teams and provide financial support as needed
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
- 3–5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a professional services or similar environment
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
- Proficiency with accounting software, financial systems, and advanced Excel
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills and a proactive, solutions-oriented approach
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $65,000–$85,000, based on experience
