Duties
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document detailed business requirements for data-driven projects
- Design and develop comprehensive dashboards and reports using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, and other reporting platforms to visualize key metrics effectively
- Conduct data analysis utilizing SQL databases, R, Python, Excel data analysis techniques, and other analytics tools to uncover insights and support strategic initiatives
- Manage the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC), ensuring projects adhere to best practices in requirements analysis, testing, deployment, and maintenance
- Develop and optimize ETL processes using Talend or similar tools to extract, transform, and load data from various sources including Oracle, SQL Server, and Bash scripts in Unix environments
- Design scalable data models and databases that support business intelligence activities while ensuring data integrity and security
- Facilitate requirements analysis sessions with stakeholders using Visio for process mapping and documentation to ensure clarity across teams
Requirements
- Proven experience in business analysis with a strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies such as Agile
- Proficiency in SQL databases including Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle; experience with query management is essential
- Hands-on experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar platforms for dashboard development and reporting
- Technical skills in R, Python, VBA, Bash (Unix shell scripting), and ETL processes for advanced data manipulation and automation
- Knowledge of database design principles along with familiarity with linked data concepts for integrating diverse datasets
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets into actionable insights through data visualization techniques
- Experience working with business intelligence tools such as Talend or other ETL platforms; understanding of analytics best practices is a plus
- Excellent communication skills for requirements gathering, stakeholder engagement, and documentation using Visio or similar diagramming tools
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
