An Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Clinic is seeking a motivated, dependable, and patient-focused X-Ray Technologist to join our fast-paced orthopedic practice. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their workday and thrives in a collaborative environment. In addition to performing high-quality diagnostic X-rays, this team member will assist throughout the clinic to help provide an exceptional patient experience.
We are looking for someone who is flexible, eager to learn, and willing to jump in wherever needed.
Responsibilities
Radiology Duties
- Perform high-quality digital X-rays of the upper and lower extremities, spine, and other orthopedic imaging as ordered by the provider.
- Ensure proper patient positioning and radiation safety practices.
- Prepare imaging for physician review and maintain image quality standards.
- Maintain X-ray equipment and follow all state and federal radiation safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate imaging documentation within the electronic medical record.
Clinical & Administrative Support
- Assist physicians and advanced practice providers during clinic when imaging is complete.
- Scribe patient encounters accurately in the electronic medical record.
- Escort patients to exam rooms and assist with patient flow.
- Obtain patient histories and document chief complaints.
- Assist with room turnover and stocking clinical supplies.
- Help with clerical duties including answering phones, scheduling appointments, scanning documents, and assisting at check-in/check-out when needed.
- Cross-train to support multiple areas of the practice to ensure efficient clinic operations.
- Provide outstanding customer service to every patient and family member.
Qualifications
- Current ARRT certification (R.T. (R)) required.
- Current Louisiana Radiologic Technologist license (or ability to obtain before employment).
- Current BLS certification preferred.
- Previous orthopedic or sports medicine experience preferred but not required.
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and remain organized in a busy clinical environment.
- Positive attitude with a willingness to assist wherever needed.
- Team-oriented with strong attention to detail.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation.
- Ability to assist patients with positioning and mobility.
- Frequent bending, reaching, and pushing equipment.

Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour
