Mission Viejo Montessori is seeking an enthusiastic Preschool Teacher. Our preschool program provides care and education for children from 3 years to 6 years of age. A minimum of 12 units is required for this position. Montessori Early Childhood/Primary Teaching Certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Create an environment that is attractive, clean, and safe for children to learn, explore, and grow
- Ensure the classroom is maintaining and exceeding all health & safety requirements, and Title 22 regulations
- Communicate appropriately with administrators, coworkers, parents and children
- Maintain a professional self-image and project the values of the organization at all times
- Create and implement weekly lesson plans integrating the monthly curriculum
- Maintain daily lesson tracking records and observations of each child
- Ensure classroom staff is appropriately supervising and guiding children at all times
Skills
- One year of proven experience teaching in a Montessori preschool classroom preferred
- Willingness to continue to learn and implement the principles of child development and the Montessori Method
- Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms
- Excellent communication and instructional skills
- Ability to multitask
- Be organized and keep your classroom tidy and clutter free.
- Calm, friendly, and reliable
- Current certification in Pediatric CPR/First Aid or willing to obtain
- Knowledge of Title 22 Regulations
Education:
*Montessori Primary/Early Childhood Certification preferred
*12 ECE/Child Development units- must include 3 units in each of the following are required:
- Child Growth and Development
- Child, Family & Community
- Infants and Toddlers
- Any Child Development Curriculum Course

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
