Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their food orders in person or via POS systems.
- Process cash, credit card, and retail sales transactions accurately while managing cash register operations and cash handling procedures.
- Take customer orders efficiently, upsell menu items to enhance sales, and ensure order accuracy for a satisfying dining experience.
- Prepare or assist with basic food preparation tasks while maintaining strict food safety standards and sanitation practices.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently to support food service operations.
- Maintain a clean workspace by regularly sanitizing counters, utensils, and food handling areas to ensure health standards are met.
- Support food safety management by adhering to proper sanitation procedures and handling food responsibly at all times.
Skills
- Proven experience in food service, quick service, or fast-food restaurant environments with strong cashiering skills.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for processing transactions smoothly.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods.
- Basic math proficiency for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
- Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and assist with food preparation when needed.
