Summary:
The IT Department supports the Network infrastructure of the credit union headquarters and all branches. This includes, but not limited to, computers, phones, mobile devices, servers, routers, switches, applications, software, network circuits, etc. This includes both onsite and remote maintenance and troubleshooting. Members of this team should possess great customer service skills, ability to multi-task, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Supervises Network Support Specialist position(s).
This team members' ability to translate their technical knowledge into actionable steps and research a problem to determine a solution are key. This person must be able to support a Windows network environment. Great customer service, ability to multi-task, and excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must. Employee will interface constantly with both technical and non-technical coworkers and be able to communicate on all levels. Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours is required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides the deployment, diagnosis, maintenance, and repair of our IT infrastructure consisting of servers, phones, workstations, firewalls, routers, switches, applications, software, network circuits, etc.
- Provides 1st and 2nd tier technical and troubleshooting assistance/support related to computer hardware and software, mobile devices and other tech tools and products.
- Participates in various projects intended to continually improve/upgrade the IT infrastructure.
- Adheres to standards and procedures for technology products and services.
- Assist with restoring service in all aspects of the infrastructure to include circuits, phones, network equipment, network congestion, servers and routing issues.
- Responsible for the accuracy and completion of assigned Service Work Orders and documentation within the company’s established time frames.
- Responsible for the creation, maintenance, and updating of documentation to include, but not limited to, site books, service work order notes, changes/upgrades to environment.
- Responsible for upkeep and maintenance of branch security related equipment (i.e. access control, alarms, cameras, and DVR/NVR systems).
- Responsible for upkeep and maintenance of IT-related equipment (i.e. computers, monitors, phones, copiers, and printers).
- Performs other job-related duties required or assigned.
Performance Measurements:
- Provide informed, professional, accurate service and support to all members and associates.
- Design, troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure needs consisting of servers, phones, workstations, firewalls, routers, switches, applications, software, network circuits, etc.
- Troubleshoot and resolve members and internal inquiries in a timely, friendly, accurate manner.
- Perform routine system checks (daily, weekly, monthly or as needed) to maintain computers, servers, systems and infrastructure.
- Document problems, troubleshooting steps, and conversations to create a log that can be referenced by other technicians and for training purposes.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Experience: Eight to ten years of similar or related experience.
- Education: (1) A bachelor's degree, or (2) achievement of formal certifications recognized in the industry as equivalent to a bachelor's degree (e.g., information technology certifications in lieu of a degree).
- Interpersonal Skills: Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization, generally regarding routine matters for purposes of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion.
- Other Skills: Proven expertise in the core areas of IT infrastructure; including, Computers, Microsoft Servers, Printers, etc.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
