Duties
- Perform a variety of hair styling services including cuts, trims, blowouts, and special occasion styles with precision and creativity
- Provide expert barbering services such as straight razor shaves, beard trims, and classic cuts
- Apply hair extensions and eyelash extensions to enhance client looks
- Consult with clients on hair color options using color theory principles and recommend suitable treatments
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in accordance with salon protocols
- Use salon software like MINDBODY to schedule appointments, manage client records, and process retail sales efficiently
- Educate clients on hair care routines, retail products, and upselling opportunities to enhance their experience
- Assist with front desk duties including greeting clients, managing wait times, and ensuring smooth salon operations
- Mentor junior staff members and contribute to a positive team environment through effective communication and collaboration
Qualifications
- Valid cosmetology or barbering license with experience in hair styling and grooming techniques
- Proficiency in salon software systems such as MINDBODY for scheduling and sales management
- Knowledge of hair coloring techniques, store management practices, and retail math skills
- Experience with hair threading, makeup application, nail care, and retail upselling is a plus
- Strong communication skills to understand client needs and provide personalized recommendations
- Ability to perform sanitation procedures meticulously to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff
- Demonstrated ability to mentor team members and foster a collaborative atmosphere
