Axiom Real Estate Academy is looking for an engaging, knowledgeable real estate professional to join our instructional team on a part-time, per diem basis.
This position is ideal for an experienced real estate professional who enjoys teaching, mentoring and helping others understand the business — but isn't necessarily looking for a full-time teaching position.
Initially, instructors will teach assigned topics and portions of our South Carolina pre-licensing curriculum, helping us share the classroom load while maintaining the engaging, practical learning environment Axiom is known for.
We're not looking for someone to simply read a textbook or PowerPoint presentation.
We're looking for someone who can teach.
What You'll Do
- Teach assigned topics and instructional blocks within Axiom's pre-licensing courses
- Present approved curriculum accurately and in an engaging, understandable way
- Use appropriate real-world examples to help students connect classroom concepts to actual real estate practice
- Answer student questions and facilitate classroom discussion
- Maintain a professional, welcoming and interactive classroom environment
- Follow Axiom curriculum, policies and applicable South Carolina Real Estate Commission requirements
- Collaborate with Axiom's lead instructor to provide a consistent student experience
Initial assignments may range from individual topics to several-hour classroom blocks based on course needs, instructor expertise and availability.
As trust and experience with Axiom grow, opportunities for additional instructional responsibility may become available.
Who We're Looking For
The right candidate will have:
- Strong knowledge of real estate principles and practices
- Professional real-world real estate experience
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Confidence speaking in front of groups
- The ability to explain complicated concepts in plain English
- An engaging and approachable classroom presence
- Reliability and professionalism
- A genuine interest in helping future real estate professionals succeed
- The ability to accept feedback and work within an established curriculum
Prior classroom teaching experience is preferred but not required. Bilingual a plus as many students are bilingual as well.
Candidates must meet, or be able to meet, applicable South Carolina Real Estate Commission requirements for pre-licensing instructors.
Schedule
This is a part-time, per diem position with no guaranteed number of instructional hours.
Teaching assignments will be offered based on:
- Scheduled Axiom pre-licensing courses
- Instructor availability
- Subject-matter knowledge
- Classroom needs
Daytime and/or evening opportunities may be available depending on the course schedule.
This is an in-person teaching position in the Charleston area.
Compensation
Compensation is based on experience, qualifications and instructional assignment, and is compensated for assigned instructional/classroom hours.
What Makes a Great Axiom Instructor?
You don't have to be the loudest person in the room.
But you should be the person who can take something complicated and make someone say:
“Ohhh. Now I get it.”
We believe real estate education should be accurate, practical, engaging and relevant to what students will actually experience once they enter the profession.
If you're the person other agents come to when they need something explained — and you've ever thought you might enjoy teaching — we'd like to meet you.
Selected candidates may be asked to complete a short teaching demonstration as part of the interview process.
