Job Summary

Duties
- Deliver lesson plans provided by the regular teacher or develop your own engaging activities aligned with curriculum standards
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to foster a respectful and productive learning environment
- Support students’ social-emotional development and provide guidance as needed
- Adapt instructional methods to meet the diverse needs of learners, including those with disabilities or developmental differences
- Organize classroom activities that promote creativity, literacy, numeracy, and critical thinking skills
- Collaborate with staff to ensure smooth transitions and continuity of instruction during your assignment
- Maintain clear communication with students, staff, and parents regarding student progress and classroom expectations
Qualifications
- Ability to gain Substitute License
- Prior experience working with children in educational or childcare settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of curriculum development, implementation, and lesson planning across early childhood education, literacy, math, and special education areas
- Strong classroom management skills and experience working with individuals with disabilities or autism spectrum disorder are advantageous
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with students, colleagues, and families
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques and classroom activity organization
- Experience working in private schools environments is a plus
- Demonstrated adaptability in instructional approaches to meet varied student needs and learning styles
- Background in tutoring, mentoring, or supporting children’s developmental progress enhances your candidacy
