Job Title: Cardiology Medical Assistant

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate medical assistant to join our team of healthcare professionals in our cardiology department. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to our cardiologists and patients, ensuring that clinical operations run smoothly, and assisting in the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Take patient medical history, vital signs, and record patient information into the electronic medical record system.
- Prepare examination rooms for patient visits and assist with diagnostic tests and procedures as needed, including EKGs, echocardiograms, stress tests, and holter monitors.
- Perform routine administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, and managing patient medical records.
- Prepare and administer medications as directed by the physician.
- Educate patients and families about diagnostic procedures, medications, and lifestyle changes.
- Coordinate patient care with other healthcare providers, including specialists and hospitals, as necessary.
- Maintain an inventory of medical supplies and ensure that all equipment is clean and in good working order.
- Adhere to all healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA guidelines.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed.
