Valor is seeking three dedicated Family Support Workers to serve children and families throughout the Sidney, NE area.

Service Area:
This position provides in-home and community-based family support services throughout the following Nebraska communities:
- Sidney
- Ogallala
- Oshkosh
- Bridgeport
- Gering
- Scottsbluff
Applicants must be willing and able to travel throughout the assigned service area within 1.5 hours from the office closest to you.
Mileage reimbursement and paid drive time are provided.

As a Family Support Worker, you will:
- Provide supervised family visitation and drug testing to help ensure child safety.
- Coach and support parents in developing healthy parenting skills and family stability.
- Teach life skills including parenting, nutrition, home management, healthy relationships, budgeting, and sobriety support.
- Build positive relationships with children and families through strength-based, trauma-informed services.
- Maintain accurate, objective, and timely documentation of services, observations, and client progress.
- Collaborate with community partners and child welfare professionals to support family goals.

Applicants must possess:
- High school diploma or GED required. (must have a copy of diploma or GED)
- Minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in one or more of the following:
- Child welfare
- Human services
- Working directly with children and families
- Healthcare (as a CNA)
- Licensed childcare or daycare
- Reliable transportation and the ability to safely transport youth as part of service delivery.
- Valid driver's license, current vehicle insurance, and dependable personal vehicle.
- Can not have more than 3 points on driving record.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays, based on family needs.
- Ability to successfully pass required background checks for each state of residence within the past five (5) years.
- Daily access to a cell phone and email.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with email, electronic documentation, and web-based systems.
- Demonstrated ability to produce accurate, objective, and grammatically correct written documentation in a timely manner.
